Ayelle Burke wrote the perfect unproblematic story that still somehow had drama. lol. Even though this wasn’t a short story, as fast as I read it, you’d think it was a short. I loved this story from beginning to end.
Kade and T'Asia reminded me of what I loved about friends to lovers. They were sexy together while also having great dialogue and amazing spice. I love how Kade was such a safe place for T’Asia even before they got together. Their chemistry was off the charts. The way they kind of fell into a relationship and how Burke incorporated the club and BDSM into the story was masterful. It all felt so natural and like the only conclusion to their friendship.
The side characters were fun and dynamic. I hope that they will get stories as well. Burke gave us a small-town vibe that also felt like a big city with all the black excellence going on in the town. This was an all-around fun and easy read that I think most people will enjoy.
