Give Me Fever - The Strong Series by Niobia Bryant
A Review By: DB
On-point dialogue and relentlessly erotic prose characterize national best-selling author Niobia Bryant’s mesmerizing novels. The third in a series starring the heartbreaking Strong brothers, Give Me Fever takes the game to another level. A quiet accountant, Kaeden Strong is blown away when he meets Jade Prince—a tomboy nature guide with the body of a goddess. Despite his allergies, Kaeden agrees to go on a camping trip, which Jade is hired to lead. And while stranded one night, the two share a rowdy tumble in a sleeping bag. Now desiring to turn that one night of passion into something more, Kaeden makes a strong push to win Jade’s affections—but he’s going to have to pull out all the stops to outmaneuver the other men already in line. Bryant keeps listeners up late into the night with a tale of passionate, untamed lovers. A rousing reading by Shari Peele injects additional fire into this steamy contemporary romance.
Review Notes:
Audio Book Publication Year: 2011
An installment in a Series? Yes, Book 3
Narrator (s): Shari Peele
Kaeden Strong is one of the brothers of the Strong family. He has lived his life feeling as if he doesn't belong, yet he falls in love with one of the most beautiful women in the town. Jade Prince is beautiful, but she tries very hard to not let people define her because of her looks. Kaeden’s insecurities may run the risk of ruining this unlikely union.
I enjoyed this book. It was consistent with a strong theme speaking about family and brotherhood. I enjoyed how the author was able to speak about insecurities and being able to overcome and knowing your worth. However, as far as the narrator’s performance, it was very lackluster; there was not much versatility and it was boring.
This book is one of my favorite books from The Strong series, so I enjoyed it thoroughly. However, the narrator's voice just failed to engage me as a reader.
There were some clicking sounds throughout the story as it was being read, maybe it was an issue while recording.
