Irresistible Intern by Aliza Mann

A Review By: LL

Caleb Greene has everything thanks to his multimillion dollar tech company, including a lawsuit from a former partner. Escaping the crush of responsibilities seemed to be the thing he needed. A getaway to New York for a visit with old buddy Dex Truitt was supposed to be just that, until a chance meeting with a goddess changed his direction altogether. She was so intriguing, he found himself doing things he would never consider...even masquerading as an intern at Montague. But will his part-time distraction become a full time obsession?

Geneva Chapman is the newest Montague Director, top of her field. Her life changed for the better and she had everything under control. The one thing she hadn’t bargained for was the sexy intern now in her charge. All she needed to do was ignore him. As it turned out, that was harder to do than she could have ever anticipated. Caleb Green was an irresistible intern.

Caleb uses an unorthodox approach to get close to Geneva. She is an executive now, but she was once an intern for the company, and so she of course, needs an intern to mold. Caleb decides to become her "intern" and convinces Dex to go along with his plan. The chemistry between Geneva and her intern, 'Mac," is undeniable. They grow close while working together. The intern finds himself doing things that are out of his comfort zone. This deceitful plan does lead Caleb to do a bit of self-reflecting and helps him to figure out something he's been struggling with. Dex urges Caleb to tell Geneva the truth before everything blows up in his face. Does Caleb take his friend’s advice? Will Geneva forgive him for lying? You will have to check out the book to find out. You will not be disappointed.

I am a sucker for a sweet love story. Although a little predictable, the story kept me engaged. I liked the fact that the relationship developed, and it was not all about sex. I was invested in these characters, and I wanted things to work out between them. The narrators were spot on in their delivery.
