This is the first book I’ve read by this author and whew.... it was fire! The main characters were awesome. Dymond was a bit of a butt head in the beginning and that faded once Qunci got a hold of him.
What I liked was it made it seem as each narrator read as if they’d been in a similar situation. There was no mispronounced words or over exaggeration of emotions.
The performance could have be a little better. It seemed like both of them lost momentum towards the end and were ready to wrap it up; so, it felt rushed
