This story is part one of a four-part novella series and Aubree Pynn wrote one hell of an erotic short that’s sure to make the hairs on your arm stand up at attention, beginning with a whole African American, Black couple arranged marriage, Well, I do declare because where they do this at? Demi is this beautiful, confident, successful Black entrepreneur doing her own thing on her own terms not looking for a come up from a man. She lives by her own rules, knows what she wants and makes no apologies going after them. While the handsome Greyson, successful in his own right, is dealing with some unfinished drama he’s trying to escape and figure out his next moves. Both are there for their respective friends’ nuptials that no one wants to attend. Demi wanted to relax, maybe meet someone to break her off. Grey wanted to dive in something wet and warm, and when they notice one another in the hotel lobby, things get hot and wild from there, where eyes meet and decisions are silently made. Two strong willed, dominant personalities coming together without a care, they throw caution to the wind with an attraction that was instant like two magnets being pulled together. Greyson gives her a choice and whether she chooses wisely or not, it’ll be a week neither will forget because the way the sex went down, I was shocked they didn’t set off the fire alarms. A hook-up turned into something deeper that became slow, intense and meaningful. The way Greyson commands Demi and she commands him is like an unspoken dominance of sexual power without the struggle, leaving them both in a haze of carnal bewilderment obeying each other without pause…just trusting and being in the moment as they become addicted to one another without noticing it happening and not expecting to catch feelings. The sex is intense, it’s wild and it’s an inferno. Things are great until Greyson’s unwanted drama that he regrettably invites, makes an appearance and douses the heat they’ve created, leaving Demi seemingly unbothered telling Greyson to handle his business and exits left leaving him infuriated, but he has himself to blame. Short but captivating as I’m left wanting to know how this plays out; what happens when Demi walks off? Does Greyson go after her? So many questions that I look forward to hearing in book 2, As We Lust. The narration by Wesleigh Siobhan and Winston James was everything a performance should be. They gave the words the blaze that made this fire read hot.
