While on a work trip, Jane decided to venture to the hotel’s rooftop bar. After a long day, all she wanted was to unwind with a drink and return to her room for an early morning flight home, but when an eerie feeling of someone watching her ignites her desire, she may have gotten more than just a drink.
I was locked in, ready to be seduced, lost in a love journey and this story did not disappoint. The chemistry, energy and easinesses between the characters was engaging and a definite page turner. Nigel was handsome, intelligent, financially secure and knew all the right buttons to push to entice and grab a woman’s attention and he treated Jane with the chivalry women melt over.
Jane was beautiful, finding herself in her career and had no intentions on meeting anyone, until that eerie feeling of being watched caused her body to heat with a desire she hadn’t felt in a long time. I love her bond with her family and the friendship she has with her best friend, Ebonee, who is encouraging and supportive and co-signs on her bestie’s new found interest.
Nigel’s and Jane’s chemistry was instantaneous. I like that Jane took a chance and gave into her desire, it showed empowerment giving herself control and permission to be adventurous. They bet on each other and the connection they developed, making their journey easy and comfortable without complications as they gave into honesty, seduction and passion, allowing the natural progression to guide them closer to each other and making their story feel genuine.
I enjoyed this story from beginning to end. I was thoroughly entertained and enthralled reading the unorthodox way two people who were not looking for anything, found each other most unexpectedly and fell in love in the right space and at the right time. It was nicely written and gave a good depiction of a insta hot romance showing a different perspective of how one could fall in love. This succulent page turner synced with Audible is a must and good read for all the star crossed lovers who want an escape. You will thoroughly enjoy this book by author Nicole Falls.
The narration was performed beautifully by Wesleigh Siobhan as she weaved from character to character smoothly and effortlessly with tone variations individualizing each character so that you became submerged and lost in the story.
