Lost In Love'‘s Abyss by K.C. Mills

A Review By: LC

Flawed. Damaged. Cursed.

Embria Taylor is an expert on fixing the lives of others but can’t seem to make sense of her own. When a handsome stranger forces his way into her world, she quickly learns that being open to new possibilities just might be the missing ingredient to securing her happily-ever-after.

Rahshon Allen is a man that speaks his mind and makes no apologies for who he is or how he feels. Those characteristics are what land him right in the middle of the chaos that seems to be just what he needs to escape his dark past.

Rah and Embria both crave something different, but can she love him despite all his flaws? Will he be able to prove that love doesn’t have to be perfect..as long as it's real?

An installment in a Series? No

Narrator (s): Phoenix McKay, Chance Smolders

Embria ALWAYS had her mom in her ear telling her there is no such thing as real love or a real man and has pegged every man she ever brought home saying it wouldn't last long. Due to the recent events that left Embria jilted, she is beginning to think her mother is RIGHT and she's better of with just casual sex so she will not get hurt . Then there is Rashon who is dealing with his own personal issues from childhood demons, and when he meets Embria, all of them start to fade until he comes face to face with someone from his past and it all goes from 0 to 60 . Can these two overcome their past traumas and live as one?

I liked how the author elaborated on a man opening up about his past traumas and not blaming his trauma for how he treated others. I can say what I didn't like is the author’s approach on how she went about the all men are the same blame game.

I have never listened to anything from either one of these narrators and the overall performance was good. The only gripe I have is at one point, both narrators sounded like they were ready to get it over with and wrap up the book.
