Hints of Spice
When Cin Bradley packs up and moves herself, her mother, and her baby girl away from their home in Connecticut, she has no plans to make a love connection. She’s just trying to get settled into her new house, new job, and new life–until Landry Augustin comes to her front door. Together, they explore the potential of a romance neither was looking for–sweet, and a little spicy.
A Dash of Heat
Maggie Augustin just wanted something sweet. A bit of self-soothing, to take the edge off the loneliness and heartache she’d been quietly enduring. When she walks away from his food truck, box of beignets in hand, she has no idea that Rene St. Martin–not his pastries–is exactly the something sweet she wanted, with the little dash of heat she needs.
A Touch of Sugar
Pru Ashford isn't looking for...anything. Which is how she ends up finding exactly what she needs–a perfect balance of savory and sweet.

An installment in a Series? Complete Series

Cinnamon Bradley, our favorite exotic dancer from the Connecticuit Kings series, makes her mark with her own journey to romance. She, along with her girl Pru, help the Augustin siblings learn a little something about love, while learning a few things themselves.
I hadn't read this series prior to listening to it and I'm kinda glad I didn't. Being able to hear each story back to back was a whole vibe! Each of the Augustin siblings’ stories is definitely sweet but that heat...straight fire!!!
HOS - I enjoyed Cin's character in the Connecticuit Kings serires, and now she is my spirit animal. I identifed with her story and her views on sexuality and sensuality. She is definetly one who doesn't fit the sterotype of an exotic dancer. She's also a boss B and Landry is just the man for her. I loved their journey. Landry is so endearing and the way he took to Nutmeg is so sweet!! They were exactly what each other needed.
DOH - Maggie's story was very cute. Being young and naive to the ways of the heart, she quickly learned that her preconceived notions meant nothing. Her brothers, Landry and Xavier, dropped the ball in putting her on game when it came to men. Cin and Pru were right there to help her and I was here for it. All about solidarity amongst sisters. She also needed a real man to show her how she should be treated and Rene St. Martin did just that! Nothing better than seeing a brother handling his ish!!! True king status.
TOS - I could definitely relate to Pru and her unwillingness to settle for the BS with men after being burned. While she was undoubtedly attracted to Xavier, and he to her, neither expected their attraction to lead to more. I definitely would love to see a follow-up on their story. I hope their romance turns out to be something that will last.
Narrators J. Shani Michaels and Myles Washington breathed life into each character, which allowed me to get pulled in, each inflecting personality that made this an enjoyable listen.
I can't really say that there was anything about this book that I disliked except that I wanted more. I would love to see where each sibling’s journey is now. As far as the narration, my only thing is hearing Myles take a breath before speaking...sorry I know it's a petty thing, but it irked me. Otherwise both narrators did a good job.
