This engaging story tells how unresolved issues in a relationship can turn what appears to be a picture-perfect marriage upside down. I loved the characters along with every twist and turn weaved throughout this story. Michael and Karli’s marriage definitely shows what can happen when you keep secrets and refuse to listen to your partner…the devil can wreak havoc on your lives. Especially when another handsome, powerful man steps into the picture at the most vulnerable time.
I particularly liked how the author depicted each character. The reader is on their toes throughout the entire story, wondering what will happen next. You find yourself loving/hating each of the main characters throughout the story. This narrator was new to me, so I had to get used to her voice for male characters, but I enjoyed the narrator’s depiction of various emotions with all the highs and lows of this story.
