Keeping Willow-Prototype Series, Book 3 by Jacinta Howard

A Review By: DWP

Devin Walker, drummer for The Prototype, has one priority: turning his alt-soul band into the superstar act it's destined to become. Singularly focused on his music, his creative passion is all-consuming - that is, until he crosses paths with his best friend's college roommate, Willow Harden.

Willow was drawn to Devin from the moment she first saw him. And when Devin does, finally look Willow's way, she's easily seduced from her protective bubble into the lure of his fast-paced ambitions, though at times, she wonders if she can handle it.

Unable to resist their potent chemistry, Devin and Willow free fall into a relationship that makes them question each other and doubt themselves. Devin knows he should probably leave her alone; Willow knows life for her might not be any good without him. Can they possibly make their love work? And if so, at what cost?

Review Notes:

Audio Book Publication Year: 2019

An installment in a Series? Yes

Narrator (s): Wesleigh Siobhan, Jakobi Diem

Jacinta did her thing yet again with book three and I love how she conquered real life situations in this one yet again. Devin and Willow's story was such a unique experience and completely different from the other two stories. Their story was one you thought you knew, but really had no idea.

Wesleigh and Jakobi never disappoint! Wesleigh has truly become each girl so far in this series, and with Willow, she used a tone that I don't think I've ever heard from her before. It was vulnerable, it was fun, and it was definitely a young girl trying to find her place with the man she loves. Wesleigh also didn't disappoint when it came to voicing Devin. She made him sound cool with the way her voice lowered to become him. The emotion in her voice was on point and she had this book feeling more like a movie than anything else. Jakobi brought all the energy that you know Devin would have with his two-sided self, lol. His voice was sexy, but that didn't take away from the struggle and hardships that Devin faced. Jakobi brought it all to life with his voice. There was so much more to these characters than we knew and Wesleigh and Jakobi acted that out with their voices so well.

Honestly there wasn't anything to dislike. These two are only getting better and better with each book.
