Treble by Rilzy Adams

A Review By: DWP

Treble: consisting of three parts; threefold

A spilled chai tea latte and a swipe to the right thrust Sadie headfirst into Hendrix’s and Novah’s life. Although the couple has been polyam for almost their whole relationship, they have never been interested in the same person…until now.

Hendrix and Novah are not prepared for the heady, wondrous heat of the ride the three of them take, but they know one thing for sure: Their lives will never be the same.

Rilzy Adams did such a great job taking us on the journey of three people falling in love as a throuple. This concept of poly romance is not a new thing for me to read, but the way Rilzy wrote it was such a fun and delightful surprise. This read was sexy and shows that true love can come in many forms.

J. Shani Michaels, Sean Crisden, Wesleigh Siobhan: These narrators dropped a top tier performance. This was my first multi-cast with three narrators, and it made the experience so much more immersive than your average duet. The sounds these narrators made and hearing all of them at once made for an understanding like no other. lol. All three voices sounded so good together. I loved the voices that Rilzy Adams picked. I feel like this is what these characters really sound like, and again, I appreciate her taking the extra time to find a voice for each of these characters. It really brought the book alive. This was a fun short read that left an impression.

J. Shani Michaels as Novah just made sense. Novah was the driven, take charge character, and she captured that sassy, flirty spirit. She had all the sides to Novah shining brightly.

Sean Crisden was THAT dude as Hendrix. He was smart, charming, and able to satisfy two women without breaking a sweat. As the only male voice, he did his thing bringing the deep base and growls to liven up the story. Hendrix was the man and Sean made sure the readers knew that.

Wesleigh Siobhan was the perfect closing of this triangle as sassy and sexy Sadie. She’s a free spirit who comes into this already created relationship and takes it to the next level. Wesleigh is always going to perform, and she and these other narrators did that for sure. This was a great audio experience.

There was nothing not to like. This was a good read.
