Let Me Be Your Motivation by Tay Mo'nae

A Review By: LC

How do you deal with another woman coming to your wedding and confessing she's already married to your fiance and carrying his child?

That was Jordyn's reality. After her world was turned upside down, she's encouraged by her best friend to still go to Cabo for a week stay to get over her heartbreak. What Jordyn wasn't expecting was running into her high school crush.

Newly single NFL running back Amir Hamilton is the man most women would dream to have. When he takes a vacation to Cabo to let loose before the upcoming season, he didn't expect to meet the shy beauty in a drunken state.

What was supposed to be one night of pleasure for both quickly turns deeper and the two of them quickly learn it's not easy to forget about the other.

In this stand-alone, join Amir and Jordyn and learn if the bond they form in Cabo is strong enough to ignore their exes from their past.

Audio Book Publication Year: 2020

An installment in a Series? No

Narrator (s): Mari, Leon Nixon

The old saying, “Sometimes you have to get under one to get over one” plays out in this book. It also teaches one to trust and that not every relationship is like a past relationship.

I'm not new to listening to these narrators! Mari has read several book in my Audible library. She reads with such finesse and makes her performance believable.

The book was good, but I wish that it would've been a little longer to tie up the characters’ lives instead of leaving it open-ended . The performance from Leon Nixon is lackluster! The only reason I continue to listen to books with him narrating is because of the synopses of the books. I wish he'd step up his enthusiasm with his performances; he reads as if he has not one care in the world
