Jameela’s loneliness and sexual craving lead her to seek and sate her carnal desire for fulfillment where she finds exactly what she wasn’t looking for and her decision to accept her new reality could be the best or worst choice she will ever make.

This stand alone flowed smoothly from Held In Contempt with Jameela now as the main character. Eva Sherie gave these characters human, relatable and lovable characteristics. Their emotions and passion was easily believable. I found this story touching, written of an experience that had a life long consequence many can relate to. It was easy to follow, flowed nicely from scene to scene allowing me to understand intent in the story, the characters, and their plight. Short but beautifully cultivated, capturing a relationship in a sweetness that made my heart swoon with those familiar emotions of sadness, happiness, joy, excitement, and yes, sensuality! The sistership relationship between Jameela and Kennedy is exactly how friends should be in support, love and trust at a moment’s notice.  No questions!  Jameela felt love, support and safety being herself without judgement. They’re comical and truly have each other through anything. Now the romance between Jameela and Ahmad is hot from the meet. I mean, it’s Eva Sherie so the sex was erotically portrayed and showed the intimacy of the little innuendos that mentally seduces a woman’s brain that causes her body to follow.   it’s written to show appealing, intelligent, and successful Black people on the other side of the coin where life doesn’t have to be complicated all the time. Both Ahmad and Jameela take responsibility to provide and protect what’s unspoken between the feeling of the electricity flowing between them, charging their desires. It is hawt. Jameela, confused in her predicament, but absolute in her decision once made, but how to handle it was crucial in not wanting to be a burden, while Ahmad was there for her from go and never made her feel less than anything except a desirable woman and treated her as such.  I love that he speaks to her, reassures her, binds and bonds with her and took control by not leaving in her worst moments and she accepts him and his offerings. The narration was one to be praised that gave so much passion and heat, you can feel its intensity. Wesleigh Siobhan and Emanuel Ingram did a phenomenal job performing this entire story. They bought these characters alive breathing breath into the lungs of the pages. I visually saw and felt the magnetism, the passion, the apprehension, the nervousness, the joy and confusion. Their performance was outstanding and I understood how a Wild Thought became a Reckless Night that became a…well, you have get the audiobook to hear for yourself 😉

Honestly, the story wasn’t long enough, I wasn’t ready for it to end and I wanted more.
